Welcome to Foundation into First. This blog is dedicated to teachers who are looking for interesting teaching ideas, new ways of engaging young students and fun teaching resources. Whether you are a Foundation Year (Prep/K) teacher or a Year 1 teacher (First Grade) or just a teacher of early primary K-3, this is the place for you.

Foundation into First is run by me (Jane). I am a teacher, teacher author and mother of three who lives in Queensland, Australia. I have degrees in English, History, Education and a Masters in Education and specialise in teaching Prep (Foundation) to Year 3. You can find my resources on my Teachers Pay Teachers store (USD)  or on my website www.techteacherpto3.com  (AUD).

All of my resources are aligned to the latest version of the Australian curriculum but apply to most curricula worldwide.

One of my specialist interests is in Social Studies or as they are now called in Australia HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences). HASS encompasses History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship.

"A fantastic resource to help me plan my HASS lessons for 2018. Really comprehensive and aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Thank you for making my teaching easy!" - Mrs S (Teacher)
